The technical safety of the CONCORD ISOFIX-BASE INTENSE platform has been improved.

Therefore, CONCORD asks all customers who have a CONCORD ISOFIX-BASE INTENSE to contact their CONCORD distributor to carry out a free check of their ISOFIX-BASE and, if necessary, to update it.
The corresponding booster systems and child car seats should be used for safety in the car for children under 12 years old or up to 150 cm tall.
In total there are 4 groups of child car seats that are divided up according to defined body characteristics. Carrycots are always positioned facing backwards and are used for children weighing up to 13 kg (Group 0+). Thanks to this system, small children can be safely secured in the car and, therefore, the seat should be changed as soon as the baby's head overhangs the edge or when the baby weighs 13 kg.

Group I includes the safety systems for children weighing between 9 and 18 kg (up to 4 years old approx.).

These seats can be fastened to the vehicle using the car seat belt or the Isofix system, and the child is secured using a system of straps fitted in the seat.

The belt should be fitted as tightly as possible to the child's body, thereby preventing any overload due to the so-called seat belt loss. The child seat should be fastened to the car as securely as possible.

In general, these child car seats let the child travel in different positions, either upright or more reclined.

Groups II and III (weighing from 15 to 36 kg, from 3 to 12 years old approx.) include, above all, the so-called booster seats with a backrest or with a headrest. With this system the children are held secure with the normal three-point seat belt. Therefore you need to check that the seat belt always goes over the middle of the child's shoulder and that the child, if he falls asleep, does not lean on the belt. In case the child moves, the shoulder belt should always be connected to the automatic winder of the seat belt. These systems are only useful for children over 4 years old approx. The booster seats should be fitted with the relevant holes for the lap belt, so this belt goes through the guides and, in the event of an accident, it cannot slip to the area of the child's stomach.
Test results are a guiding help when buying a child car seat. Because not all child seats fit any car, it is advisable to carry out a test fitting with the seat and the child in the car. For systems that are installed facing backwards (for example, carrycots) you need to check that the car seat belt is long enough. It is recommendable to carry out the test in a specialised establishment because an operational failure can seriously affect the safety of the system. In all cases the child car seat must be certified by an actual safety standard.
Used child car seats can be reused without any problems, provided you check that they have not suffered any damage and that you have the instruction manual and the quality stamp. The structure of the seat as well as the actual seat itself (take the cover off) must not display any signs of tearing, deformation or breakage. Similarly, the straps must not show any signs of tearing, or be visibly worn out or have fraying edges. These car seats may also have faults or damage that is not visible. That's why it is not advisable to purchase used child car seats.

A used car seat must always have the European safety standard ECE R 44/03 certification or the currently in force ECE R 44/04 (to check this there should be an orange test label with a number beginning with 03... or 04...) as will have had to clearly pass the test criteria of the previous ECE R 44/02 version. Recommendation: Only buy second hand car seats from people you know as it is easier to find out about their real use, as well as their possible misuse.

From 8th April 2008 it is no longer possible in Germany to use old child car seats that are not certified by, at least, European safety standard ECE R 44/03 or ECE R 44/04. Child car seats with certifications prior to these must no longer be used after this date.
Basically, the safest place for children in the car is on the back seat. In particular, you should choose the left or middle of the back seat so you can get the child in and out of the car from the pavement side. For vehicles fitted with airbags, it is essential to heed the recommendations and warnings from the vehicle manufacturer included in the manuals as these do make some differences.
Basically, in vehicles fitted with a passenger seat airbag child seats that are fitted facing backwards should not be used on the front passenger seat. An activated airbag could push the carrycot and, therefore, could even lead to the child's death.

Car seats that are fitted facing forwards can, in the majority of cases, be fitted on the front passenger seat. But in this case, the passenger seat must be positioned as far back as possible. However, some vehicle manufacturers do not allow the use of car seats on the front passenger seat to avoid any possible danger to the child's safety caused by the airbag. Therefore you must always follow the warning indications when fitting child car seats and the vehicle instruction manual.

ADAC (the German automobile club) recommends using the back seats in the car to provide greater safety for children. Only in exceptional cases should you consider using the front passenger seat for children (for example, to look after babies if there is no-one else in the car). In this case it is essential to disconnect the front passenger airbag.

If the vehicle is fitted with side airbags you need to check that, if the child is asleep, he does not rest his head on the airbag area. In order to prevent this, child car seats have positions that are suitable for sleeping or accessory pillows. You also need to check that there are no objects like clothes, toys, etc. in the space between the child's seat and the airbag covering.
Basically you need to check the weight details on the quality stamp of the child car seat. Although it is essential that the child's head is supported by the seat and must never be higher than the seat. For carrycots it is very important to heed these criteria because, through overuse, small children should not a forward facing car seat too soon. The space necessary for the child's feet plays a secondary role here.
The seat belt fastening on child car seats has to be manufactured so that, in the event of an accident, anyone going to rescue the occupants can get the child out quickly, in other words, the button that unfastens the belt has to be marked bright red and the force to be applied must not exceed the maximum value indicated. In turn, this means that the child can unfasten the belt by himself. In this case you must make it clear to the child that the car only moves when his seat belt is fastened. You may need to repeat this "educational measure" on several occasions. The child has to learn that he must not unfasten his seat belt, even if the car is stationary.
In winter children often wear thick coats or bibs when they are fastened into their car seats.

Due to this there is a risk that the seat belt is not fitted tightly enough to the body and there is a danger the belt is too loose. In particular, if the shoulder strap slips off or the lap belt moves up to the stomach there is a big risk that in the event of an accident the child could suffer serious injuries.

Because of this, ADAC (the German automobile club) recommends that you remove the child's thick anorak whenever possible and, once they are fastened in you put a bib or jacket over them while the seat is cold. In all cases, the seat belt needs to be fitted to the child's body as tightly as possible.
Please heed the indications regarding stains that appear in the instructions for use for each car seat. The covers suffer natural wear and tear over time depending on how much they are used and they should be replaced from time to time.

Please bear in mind that the cover is an essential part for the structure to be certified. Therefore you must always use an original cover. Original covers as well as all the accessories for the CONCORD child car seats are available from specialist retailers.
After an accident the child car seat should be fully replaced or it should be sent to the manufacturer, together with a report of the accident, for it to be checked.
The instruction manuals are available for download from www.concord.de. If you can't find the instruction manual you need, please contact us using the contact form.
If you need replacement parts for your child seat you can order them at your specialist establishment by showing a copy of your receipt as proof of purchase. If the seat needs repairing, the specialist salesperson will send the seat to the manufacturer.
The guarantee period begins on the date of purchase. The duration of the guarantee depends on the legal guarantee period of the country of the end consumer (in Germany: 24 months).
The type of European safety standard corresponding to each child seat can be recognised from the 8 digit certification number found on the orange ECE label. This number starts with the corresponding modification phase of the European safety standard (03.., 04..). If the certification number starts with 03.. this means it is a child seat certified under standard R 44/03. If it starts with 04.., it is certified under R 44/04. In both cases, and if it is in good condition, the seat can still be used after 08/04/2008.
The height of the shoulder strap automatically adjusts with the height of the headrest. They cannot be altered individually.
Reverso has been tested with Q0 - Q3 dummies (from birth up to a height of 105 cm)
The Reverso has been certified up to 33 kg (seat plus the child) that means approx. 10.5 kg seat, 22.5 kg child maximum
Reverso is certified under the I- SIZE standard.
For safety reasons, changing the backrest position must not be too easy. As customer satisfaction is very important to us, we forwarded the information to our Product Development Technical Department to assess the potential for improvement.
This is not a problem as long as it is no longer red. Please ensure that you can hear the clicks during installation.
Product quality is very important for Concord, therefore we forwarded the information to our quality control department.
Also, we can assure you that the identified flaws will have no effect on the overall safety of the seat.
Depending on the seat reclining position REVERSO can remain a distance from the car seat. The force transmission of REVERSO goes through the ISOFIX mounting, support leg and footrest. When the installation is carried out according to the instruction manual and all indicators show green the seat is absolutely safe. If you are not sure, please ask the shop assistant from whom you purchased the seat to check the installation is correct.
Over the years, our customers have sent us several photographs showing the most absurd seat positions. As adults, we often forget that what may be comfortable for us, is less so for a child, as their sensitivity is usually very different.
In general, the child’s head in the seat can adopt various positions: leaning backwards, to one side or even leaning forwards. However, it is not as common for the child’s head to lean forwards. As a general rule, the child will usually take a few weeks / months to adopt another position for himself.
Obviously, this habit may also be influenced by other external factors, like the geometry and rigidity of the seat, therefore we recommend, if you are concerned, that you check the seat is installed correctly and adjust it so it is as flat as possible.

The REVERSO has a similar rigidity to other seats. In our test vehicle the seat angles were measures as being between 52° and 62°, and in the same vehicle similar seats could be adjusted to between 54° and 63°.

Regarding the storage compartment, the car manufacturer's instructions should be followed
In the event of an accident, the child seated in the rear-facing position is pressed against the seat, with the frame absorbing most of the force. In contrast, if the child is in the forward-facing position he is pressed by the belt system, so this system must absorb the force produced. As our REVERSO, like the CONCORD AIR is used for babies from birth,we’ve chosen the smaller webbing for more comfort for the new-born. For a larger child’s comfort we have added shoulder pads. Using the narrow harness is no disadvantage for your child, as proven by a number of crash tests.
Unlike forward-facing seats, the 3-point belt system is completely sufficient here. In the event of an accident, the child seated in the rear-facing position is pressed against the seat, with the frame absorbing most of the force. In contrast, if the child is in the forward-facing position he is pressed by the belt system, so this system must absorb the force produced. The 3-point belt system is also much easier to handle and is more comfortable for the child.
The cushion insert for newborn babies has been designed for babies of up to 60 cm tall approximately, while the cushion insert for small children has been designed for use during the transition age from baby to small child, and is therefore intended for use with children between 60 and 80 cm tall approximately.
Rear-facing seats have the advantage that the children are depressed into the car seat during a crash (head-on and from behind) and are therefore protected as much as possible. The seat belt is not such an important safety feature as it is for children in the forward-facing position.
The height of the buckle also prevents the child from slipping out of the belt system which would lead to a greater risk of injury.
That´s no problem. In fact, children prefer to have their legs tucked up and protected whilst on a journey. Most think it is more comfortable than when they are sitting “correctly”. This behaviour doesn´t affect the safety of the REVERSO.
Rear-facing seats make it possible for children to see the passing views for longer. Depending on the reclining position of the child, it might be possible to look through the rear windscreen and have a greater field of view.
Reverso has ventilation openings in the entire back area which allow moisture and heat to be moved away from the child.

Our LUNA neck cushions have been specially designed for car safety seats.
These cushions support the child’s head and neck, so he can sleep fully relaxed on any journey.
If you want to use the REVERSO model in a vehicle that has not been specifically approved for “i-Size”, you first need to check whether your vehicle is included on the Carfitting list on our website.
http://media.concord.es/archivos2016/archivos/documentos/23160322_cfl_reverso_internet.pdf
If the vehicle is not on this list this does not automatically mean that the seat is not suitable. Bearing in mind the large variety of vehicle models on the market, it may be that some of them have not yet been tested.
In this case, please contact info@concord.de.
Thank you for your enquiry. The REVERSO/ REVERSO.PLUS has been certified in compliance with the ECE-R129 standard (i-Size). This standard only allows carrycots to be secured using the vehicle seat belts.
For that reason, the REVERSO/ REVERSO.PLUS may only be used in vehicles fitted with Isofix anchors.

cfl_reverso

No. Neither the REVERSO nor the REVERSO.PLUS has been approved for use on aeroplanes.
Thank you for your enquiry. This alteration is not relevant in terms of technical safety. Since the sales launch of the REVERSO, our customers have often asked us why the belts were so narrow. Additionally, some distributors have asked us to make the belts wider. Concord designs the products for its customers and always tries to apply the information it gets from them to perfect our products.
In this case, this change does not affect the safety of the article and we are pleased to be able to respond to our customers’ wishes.
Thank you for your enquiry. Obviously your son must not travel in the vehicle without being fastened in. In this case, we recommend you stop the car immediately in a safe place, fasten his seat belt again and tell your son that he must not unfasten it. It is always possible that a bright, dextrous or strong child may unfasten the seat belt. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, it is not possible to produce a seat belt that is completely closed. The position of the fastening, the colour of the button and the strength required to unfasten it are clearly specified in the corresponding European regulations. In the event of an accident the person or people who come to help those involved in the accident must be able to immediately see how to get children out of their car seats even if they are not familiar with child safety seats.
In 2015, the REVERSO.PLUS passed the Test Plus, an independent test that is recognised internationally, organised by the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI). In particular, this test, which was designed exclusively for rearward facing car seats, measures the force the crash test dummies’ head and neck are subjected to in the event of a head-on collision.
The REVERSO was modified based on the results of these tests, and the new REVERSO.PLUS was produced.
REVERSO Stiftung Warentest 11/2015: Test result: GOOD (1.7)
REVERSO Stiftung Warentest 06/2016: Test result: GOOD (1.7)
REVERSO.PLUS Test PLUS, Sweden 12/2015: Passed
REVERSO.PLUS Stiftung Warentest 06/2016: Test result: GOOD (1.8)

When you see the tests results achieved by the REVERSO and the REVERSO.PLUS, you may wonder why the REVERSO.PLUS score was slightly lower in the Stiftung Warentest test than the score achieved by the REVERSO.
Bearing in mind that the REVERSO.PLUS is the latest product developed, you would expect it to get better results than its predecessor.

We would like to clear up a few points on this matter:

The REVERSO was perfected in order to pass the Swedish test PLUS.
This test is designed to test the vehicle in the event of an accident, based, therefore, on stricter criteria and with lower limit values in terms of the force that the child’s head and neck are subjected to than the tests carried out in our country, for example, the ADAC and the ÖAMTC.
Therefore, the results of the Swedish Test PLUS are particularly interesting for us, given that these crash tests measure the force the dummy’s neck has to withstand in the event of a head-on crash.
The REVERSO.PLUS perfected model passed this Test PLUS in Sweden in December 2015.
The REVERSO model is fitted with a “spirit level device” on the back of the seat, which makes it easier for our customers to adjust the seat to the best position. Unfortunately, over time, we have seen that the “spirit level device” has actually caused some confusion rather than made the product easier to use. After extensive safety tests, the company decided to do away with this device. Ultimately, this means that the seat can now be placed in a flatter position than the “spirit level device” originally allowed, which clearly offers our customers greater convenience. Consequently, our company currently offers our customers a flatter reclining position for their children as well as even easier installation in the vehicle.
The REVERSO clearly indicated how the seat should be adjusted with the “spirit level device”. In contrast, the REVERSO.PLUS no longer establishes this process. Therefore, in the Stiftung Warentest test the adjustments could be made to suit the user’s preferences. The results of the crash test were slightly lower than those of the previous model, which led to a slightly worse score.  It is worth pointing out that the values always vary a bit depending on the vehicle and the position of the seat, but even under apparently identical test conditions and using the same installation conditions, it is very unlikely that you get exactly the same result on two separate occasions.
Thank you for your enquiry. As advised by independent experts, we recommend you tighten the seat belt as much as possible, so your child gets maximum protection. If your child is dextrous enough to operate the central adjustment by himself, we recommend you stop the vehicle immediately in a safe place, tighten up your child’s seat belts and explain to him why he must not do that again. It is always possible that a bright, dextrous or strong child may operate the central adjustment. Unfortunately, the position of the adjuster must always take into account the convenience of use as well as the availability and accessibility in everyday life for the child.
You can find the instruction manual for this product on our website:

manual_reverso_softcover
You can find the instruction manual on our website under the corresponding product.
If the REVERSO is correctly installed, i.e., if all the indicators are green, precision adjustment can be made using the “spirit level device”. Ultimately, the REVERSO seat will be in a more reclined or upright position once it is installed depending on the vehicle in question, therefore we recommend you always carry out a test installation in the vehicle, together with the child, before purchasing a safety seat.
Remember to make sure that the support leg does not come away from the floor, as force is transmitted directly through this support. If it is in contact with the floor, you can disregard the warning emitted by the “spirit level device”.
Lastly, don’t forget to check all the other indicators. If these still all display the green light, it means the seat has been installed safely and correctly.
Please check the position of the seat belt to make sure your child still fits in the REVERSO seat properly.
Sometimes, it may be that the upper part of a child’s body grows quicker than the lower part, or the other way round. In this transition stage the child is usually not very big still, but perhaps he does not fit into the REVERSO seat properly, so you need to switch to another seat the next size up.
Please remember that child seats are always designed according to the so-called average sizes, which, unfortunately, are not always 100% realistic.

To check that the seat belt are in the correct position please see the following diagram:

If you still feel unsure, you can always send photographs at any time to our customer services department: info@concord.de to check the matter.
Yes, but only as of the 2016/2017 product range. If you need help installing any of the previous models, please contact our customer services department: info@concord.de.
Normally the changes in the specific range for each year involve new colour trends and design elements of the product. Sometimes small technical adjustments may be made.
With nearly all baby car seats the position of the child’s head depends largely on the shape of the vehicle seat. Please check that the footrest is set to the lowest position and that all the connectors still display the green signal. Sometimes it helps to install the baby car seat on another seat in the vehicle. In general we recommend installing the product in your car as a trial run, at an authorised establishment, before purchasing the product.
Unfortunately, no. Each base has been specifically designed for a child safety seat in order to protect your child’s safety as much as possible. When a seat is designed with a base we always try to use a base that already exists, but most of the time this is not possible, as it would compromise the child’s safety.
Yes. Because AIR can be used with or without the base, many users buy just the baby car seat first and then buy the ISOFIX BASE.
AIR, like nearly all our products, has been developed in Germany and has passed the German quality standards. However, as with nearly all manufacturers, the production takes place in China.
Concord AIR can be used with the handle in the upright position or lowered. In the instruction manual we recommend that the handle be lowered, as this means that in the event of a side impact the child is better protected. For any other type of accident (frontal or rear-end) the position of the handle is not as important.
Unfortunately there are no size or weight guidelines for this. The decision is based on the position of the seat belt. The starting point of the shoulder strap should be practically horizontal. You can see a diagram in the instruction manual. The cushion insert should stop the baby from slipping in the seat too much and can be removed when you think the time is right.
AIR.SAFE was tested in June 2014 by the STIWA, and was classed as SATISFACTORY (1.6).
None of the baby carrier’s technical characteristics have been changed since the test, therefore the test results are still valid
The AIR baby car seat is not authorised for use on aeroplanes.
Only our Ion baby car seat is authorised for this.
The chassis of the Concord safety seats have been designed so that they can be used with different products. Sometimes it may be that one product moves about more than another. Please make sure that the baby car seat is correctly fitted and does not fall. When fitted correctly, this instability should not be a problem. If you are unsure, check that it is installed correctly at your local retail establishment.
In general, all our products undergo regular inspections in order to detect any possible hazardous substances.
The inspections are carried out in accordance with the current standards and regulations, therefore we can guarantee that the products do not contain any hazardous substances. The absence of these substances is also confirmed by the Stiftung Warentest (German Institute of Quality Control) and by ADAC 2014.
The AIR baby carrier is somewhat lighter than the INTENSE model. As for everything else, both baby carriers can be used for newborn babies and for children weighing up to 13 kg.
The INTENSE baby carrier weighs 4.8 kg
The AIR baby carrier weighs 2.9 kg
The CONCORD products do not need a separate adaptor to be used together. The AIR model can be attached straight onto any CONCORD pushchair. If you want to use the AIR model on a different pushchair, you should use the CLIP.
That’s not possible unfortunately. As they are different shapes, all the products in our range have different covers, so the covers for the CONCORD models are not interchangeable.
The AIR baby carrier can be attached to the vehicle “by itself” without the Isofix base using the 3-point seat belt. The Airfix base can only be attached using Isofix. Please take a look at the instruction manual: http://de.concord.es/produkte/driving/kindersitze/air-safe/
Unfortunately no. This is not possible with the ULTIMAX, as this product has not been designed to be used with the vehicle seat belts.
ULTIMAX.3 is an improved version of the ULTIMAX.2 in terms of handling and behaviour in the event of a crash. The new ULTIMAX.3 now has four seat positions, in the rearward facing position, and more clearly visible ISOFIX indicators. Some slight alterations to the geometry have also been made.
The period of guarantee starts from the moment the CONCORD product is purchased and it lasts for the legal period of guarantee in force in the country of the end user
You’re bound to find a distributor close to where you live with the help of the distributor search tool installed on our website http://en.concord.es/reseller-Search/
If you don’t have an instruction manual, you can download it from our website.
No there isn’t, because the seat belts are a relevant part in terms of technical safety, therefore new authorisation would be needed to alter the length of the seat belts.
Unfortunately this is not possible. The ISOFIX base is an important safety device for the product, so it needs to fit the product perfectly and be designed for the age range of the child it is protecting.
Unfortunately, the reclining position of the ULTIMAX.2 depends to a large extent on the geometry of the vehicle, and may sometimes be set to a more upright or rigid position. Therefore, it is always advisable to ask the distributor to test the installation in your vehicle before buying the safety seat.
The technical development team have already been working on this issue, so in the next generation, the ULTIMAX.3 is fitted with an adjusted sitting-reclining position in the rearward facing position.
The ABSORBER XT is certified under standard ECE R44/04, relating to Group I Seats.
This means that the seat is suitable for use by a child weighing between 9 and 18 kg (between 9 months and 4 years old approximately).
The ABSORBER XT is certified as semiuniversal.
The certified vehicles are listed on the Car-Fitting list (seats adaptable to each vehicle): http://media.concord.es/archivos2016/archivos/documentos/85carfittinglist_absorber.pdf
The Transformer seat can be used by children up to 12 years old or up to 150 cm tall.
The legislation is based on the measurements that correspond to the greatest number of children possible.
The backrests can be adjusted from 63 up to 82 cm, which means that a child with a height of 150 cm can be safe and comfortable.
When a compression spring can’t be used to adjust the height, you may need to apply pressure to activate it again. The easiest way of doing this is to press the TRANSFORMER from the top part, and then the compression spring should work again without getting stuck. If this doesn’t work, contact our customer services department info@concord.de
Yes, the TRANSFORMER is approved for universal and semi-universal use, which means it can be used with or without TWINFIX. In terms of safety, the results of the tests are very similar. Please check the Car-Fitting list (seats compatible with each vehicle) when using TWINFIX in the age range assigned to groups II/ III.
The TWINFIX fastening system of the TRANSFORMER only provides an extra safety measure against slipping, but it does not replace the vehicle fastening function. As stated in the instruction manual, the TRANSFORMER must always be fastened to the vehicle.
The cover can be taken off and washed at any time following the care instructions listed on the label. It is not possible to buy extra replacement covers. If you cover is damaged, contact our customer services department info@concord.de.
The impact cushions undergo testing and are approved for each particular child seat, therefore they cannot be interchanged and they cannot be bought separately. Please remember that you must not use a safety seat with any impact cushion other than the ones supplied with that seat.
The main difference is that the Transformer X-Bag, T and XT models are approved for use with children between 3 and 12 years old or weighing between 15 and 36 kg (group II and III seats) and both Transformer PRO and Transformer XT PRO models are approved for use with children between 9 months and 12 years or weighing between 9 and 36 kg (group I/II/III seats).
There are other differences in terms of the fittings for the individual models of each group.
Please see the summary table below:
Both models are fitted with a TWINFIX system so the seats can be easily fastened to the Isofix points of the vehicle. Please bear in mind that the CONCORD TWINFIX system is not comparable to the Isofix system. The TWINFIX system provides extra safety and keeps the seat in position, but it does not replace the system for securing the seat to the vehicle, whether the child is using the seat or not.
No, this is not possible because the TRANSFORMER is approved for use with the TWINFIX system. To use the ISOFIX system, the seat would need to be approved again.
Yes, these devices exist for the TRANSFORMER XT and the XT PRO.
These useful devices are included as standard for both models. For models with the flexible TWINFIX system these devices are not usually necessary. If you still have any problems, please contact our customer services department info@concord.de
With regards accessories there is no straight age limit. The only determining aspect is the size of the child’s head. The poncho strap is adjustable and can be used by children of up to 4 years approximately
In the specialist market of baby products there is currently a wide variety of pushchairs for children. A general overview of the so called ""speciality concept"" can be useful when it comes to choosing one:

Sporty pushchairs: this type includes all the pushchairs used to carry the child sitting up mainly, covering pushchairs, prams/combis, for going shopping and for going jogging.

Pushchairs are used from the moment the child can sit up (from 6 months approx. up to 3 years / 15 kg). Combined with a carrycot, baby carrier or a hammock, they can be used with babies.

Prams/combis: these are only used to carry babies and newborns of up to 9 months approx. It is difficult to find a classic pram since it cannot be used for very long. However, the combi offers the possibility of changing the assembly so that the child can be positioned sitting with his back to the wind. If the pram is fitted with a reversible handlebar, it can be placed in both positions. Combi prams can be used with newborn babies up to when they are about 3 years old.

Shopping: this type of pushchairs are easy to manoeuvre and are quite sturdy. If you are shopping in the city it offers comfort and convenience for parents as well as children (from 9 months approx. up to 3 years / 15 kg).

Jogging: this type of pushchair is suitable for sporty, active parents. Thanks to the three wheels you can jog through woods and in the country but the wheels are silent when travelling on concrete at great speed.
Babies and small children spend quite a lot of time in their prams and pushchairs. Therefore, the carrycot needs to be as comfortable as possible and big enough for the child to move about and play in it, and they should also have a stable supporting surface and a padded interior. The pushchair itself should have good suspension and a stable backrest, it should be adjustable so the child can travel sitting up or lying down and it should have a good footrest and a spacious interior.

Parents should make sure that the pushchair has a height adjustable handlebar so it can be adjusted to suit the adults who will use it. The ideal height is when your forearms are horizontal when holding the handlebar. The front wheels should be swivel wheels making it easier to handle the pushchair. A basket is also useful to carry your shopping. If parents have to lift the pushchair with the child onto the bus it is useful to have a pushchair made of aluminium as this will make it lighter. And a pushchair that is small and compact when folded can fit in the boot of the car. Covers that can be removed quickly and are washable make cleaning considerably easier.
Safety is a very important criteria that pushchairs must meet. When purchasing a pushchair make sure it is certified under standard DIN EN 1888, which is the standard establishing the safety technical requirements and test procedures for pushchairs.

A pushchair should never tip over. A four-wheeled pushchair with a bigger distance between the axles offers greater stability. The pushchair should also be fitted with a safety system preventing it from folding accidentally. The child should be held securely with a safety bar and a strap system.

The strap system has been designed for use with newborn babies and up to a maximum weight of 15 kg.

Additionally, a certified testing institute has carried out the safety tests in accordance with the current European requirements (DIN EN 1888:2012), therefore the product safety is completely guaranteed. The GS mark is an optional service offered by the TÜV (German certifying organisation), but it is not essential. The Wanderer does not have the GS mark.

Thank you for letting us know. For technical and safety reasons a certain amount of force is needed to open the belt fastening. The legislation on this point has been established in an effort to prevent the child from inadvertently unfastening the belt, which could lead to the risk of injury. However, given that we take customer satisfaction very seriously, we will pass your comment on to our technical development department so they can take steps to improve this matter.
Thank you for letting us know. Unfortunately, for technical and safety reasons, in order to activate the parking brakes you need to apply a certain amount of force. If the brakes were activated to easily, they could be put on by accident and this could put the child at risk. However, given that we take customer satisfaction very seriously, we will pass your comment on to our technical development department so they can take steps to improve this matter.
